Your such a fun writer to read, missed you on Saturday. Would you be interested in my notes from the Forum for Children's Literature Conference? I realized on Friday evening after the last meeting was over and we were driving home that although I got the info to my mother, and Cass's husband Chris (they have author's and illustrators come speak) I didn't send the info to the most obvious person, you! I could have kicked myself. I thought I could at least off the notes I took at some of the writing breakout sessions & meetings and a list of what books were highlighted at the conference as well as those they announced were coming out in the next year as this conference canvases picture books to teen lit. Anyway let me know...and next year I'll be sure to let you know well before hand...
No ma'am, it is DEFINITELY not too early to start the coutdown. I've got 8 weeks left... days are too overwhelming still, but 8 is a do-able number. Love ya!
Thanks for a great season! See you next year, boys!
Blame it on OCD
I like lists. Don't ask me why. Those with OCD seem to find comfort in them. As Rob in High Fidelity states "it's not what you're like, but what you like." Sometimes that's right on, or least gives people a general idea about what you are like based on your perferences in tunes and T.V. These lists are subject to change without notice, based on my general mood. I'm not saying that my opinions are not without flaws, but that they are the best. So there.
I am an English Teacher who also works for a major hotel company part time. Working keeps me pretty busy, but when I'm not in one of those two very different worlds, I am hanging out with my husband, Stuart, and my little boy, Sawyer. When I get my very limited "me" time, I am reading.
